The different types of safety beams
Wired Safety Beams (2-wire)
Automatic Technology’s wired safety beams are ideal for sites with existing wiring, or where specifications require. These 2-wire safety beams use the latest modulated sensing technology as found in the Wireless units.
Wired Safety Beams (3-wire)
Using legacy 3-wire technology, these wired safety beams offer the same functional safety and security of our latest technology with the more traditional 3-wire setup.
How does it work?

The infrared sensors are strategically positioned on both sides of your garage door, just a few inches above the ground. As the door begins to close, the sensors are instantly activated. If a sensor detects an object in the path of the closing door, whether it's a child, a pet, or a vehicle, it triggers an immediate halt and reverses the door's movement.
